Working Student: Sarah Gray
Congratulations to Sarah as she heads off to graduate school at Penn State University! We wish her the best of luck!
Sarah Gray is our highly knowledgeable working student who has had experience in the hunter, jumper, and equitation rings. Sarah has had multiple international grooming, riding, and working experiences, and has traveled from New Zealand to Malaysia, as well as throughout multiple European Nations. While working in New Zealand, Sarah rode and competed horses in the 1.15 meter classes for Greg Best. She later moved to Malaysia for teaching and training opportunities—Sarah taught young students to ride, and she trained multiple school horses and ponies. After her valuable experience in Malaysia, Sarah moved to Sweden in order to work for Bruce Goodin, a highly recognized New Zealand Olympian. While working for Bruce, Sarah traveled all throughout Europe as a working student; her experience culminated with a trip to the Beijing Olympics, where Sarah operated as the head Groom for Bruce.
Sarah’s knowledge and experience has proved to be invaluable at Shamrock International Equestrian Center. From grooming at the shows and training young horses to riding advanced jumper horses and competing in the Hunter/Jumper rings, Sarah is as talented as she is multifaceted. Sarah looks forward to advancing as a rider, and will be attending Graduate school in the Fall of 2009.
