Shamrock International Equestrian Center - Our Facilities
The facility at Shamrock International Equestrian Center sits atop twenty rolling acres of beautiful countryside.
The aesthetically pleasing sixteen stall Morton barn was skillfully constructed with safety and convenience in mind. Each stall is 12X12 with rubber matted floors and heated automatic waters. The barn also features a heated and air conditioned office, lounge, and tack room, a rubber matted wash stall with overhead heat lamps, two rubber matted tack up stalls with overhead heat lamps, and two sixteen foot wide center aisles.
Quality Indoor & Outdoor Arenas
Directly outside of the barn rests our 80X250 ft. outdoor sand/rubber arena, soon to be expanded to nearly twice that size! The 80X180 ft. Morton-Built Indoor sand/rubber arena rests only a short distance from the side entrance of the barn, and is equipped with mirrors down one entire long side and both short sides. The mirrors are excellent tools for improving position of both the horse and rider.
Turnout Paddocks & Pastures
At SIEC, we have eight paddocks with one larger pasture available for turnout, all equipped with run-in sheds. We make every effort to keep horses inside when the weather is severe, but outside when the weather is decent. Of course, all horses are blanketed according to the weather conditions and temperature. Each horse gets an individual paddock unless the owner specifies an alternate desire.
Acres of Manicured Trails
In addition to the pastures, there are eight rolling acres of manicured trails that are perfect for hillwork, gallop sets, warming up, cooling down, or hack rides. The trails are dragged regularly, and we spread excess manure and shavings throughout all eight acres of trails--the footing is absolutely foot-perfect year round. The trails snake through the endless number of pine trees, which are both stunning and practical: the trees provide shade in the summer and protection from the wind and snow during winter.
